.338 Lapua Magnum. It has a Mausingfield action and a Kreiger barrel in an XLR aluminum/carbon fiber chassis. The scope is a relatively inexpensive Leoupold in Hawkins rings, and the trigger is a TriggerTech. It has a Badger Ordinance muzzle brake and an Atlas bipod.
A client and his 13 year old son with a 7mm Remington magnum I built for them. The son had just taken this elk with a head on shot at 400 yards. Needless to say, Dad doesn’t get to hunt with this rifle anymore, but says that his son is deadly with it. Bartlien barrel, Razor titanium action, and XLR aluminum/carbon fiber chassis, Badger Ordinance muzzle brake, and Jewell trigger, and Atlas bipod.
Photo was taken on a windy day at the range. The picture of Andrew Jackson was the prize for being able to hit it three shots out of four at 600 yards. Those are 7mm holes.
Some more results with a 7mm. I was just testing a rifle before taking it out on a deer hunt, and I had packed everything by targets. I found an old paper plate in the trash and tacked it up on the 300 meter range. This group is what prompted the man to put his picture of Andrew Jackson at risk on the 600 yard range.
A 5 round group at 100 yards out of another 7mm Remington Magnum I built. I pulled one to the left (I think I must have sneezed), but the rest are grouped really nicely.
A 5 round group out of the .338 Lapua Magnum pictured. This rifle ended up going to Lonnie Krebs at Superior Ammunition for Load development after this group was shot.
A group shot with the Lapua after it came back from Lonnie. He does fantastic work and I frequently send rifles to him for load development.
A rifle I just completed final assembly on. It is a 6.5mm PRC in an extremely lightweight Gayle Manners chassis. A Schmidt and Bender 5-20×50 rides on top. It is a Bartlien barrel and a Trigger Tech trigger riding in a Bighorn TL-3 action. This rifle is intended to be a lightweight coyote gun, so it will be getting a suppressor when the paperwork comes through.

This is an old picture or me and my dad, with our friend Cliff(middle). Cliff owned the land that Dad and I have hunted deer on since the early 1970’s. Cliff has long since passed away, as has my Dad, but I still hunt the same ground and am still friends with Cliff’s descendants, now in their fifth generation.
Me with one of the first rifles I ever built. A 7mm Remington Magnum
